Do you ever get the feeling of overwhelm? ๐Ÿคฏ

Spending three years as an in-house marketing manager in the past, I had times when I was responsible for all the marketing within the business.

Now, Iโ€™m sure there are many of you out there that can relate to that dreaded sense of overwhelm and how daunting that can feel.

So, here are a few tips that can help ease the overwhelm and make life a bit easier in the marketing department.

Create a simple easy-to-follow strategy

Sit down, grab a brew and start coming up with SMART goals for your year ahead. โ˜•๏ธ

Look into your industry's trends and decide where to focus your efforts. Whether thatโ€™s blogs, social media, advertising, your website or email marketing. Just remember you wonโ€™t be able to do it all alone. Be strategic with your choices.

Create a Social Media & Content calendar

Map the next 6 months to a year into a content calendar. Make it as simple or as detailed as you want. ๐Ÿ—“

This will help keep you organised and keep consistent with your efforts.

If you need help with a template, DM me and I will send you one over. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Automation, automation, automation - Being the person that gets it all done, planning and posting ahead is vital to freeing up your time and limiting the stress. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

Schedule your emails, blog and social posts in advance.

That way there are fewer things to worry about.

There is a ton of good tools out there:

๐Ÿ“ฉ MailChimp for email.

๐Ÿ“ฎ Hootsuite to fire those social posts out in advance.

โœ๐Ÿป HubSpot can achieve the above and schedule blog posts.

Remember to set up email automation for your campaigns, they will save you so much time! โฑ

Lean on the experts

You shouldnโ€™t be the only one slaving away creating blogs and knowledgeable content. Am I right? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lean on those experts in your business who live and breathe your services. Ask them for their help in writing a blog post.

REMEMBER, donโ€™t just focus on your servicesโ€ฆ Add value, give away knowledge and showcase your culture. Be human.

Donโ€™t be afraid to reuse - Repurpose your marketing materials.

Create social posts out of blogs.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Turn that white paper into an Infographic

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Make a blog out of a case study

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Create a webinar out of a blog topic

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Turn a video into a bunch of social snippets

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Turn a podcast into an article

The possibilities are endless.

Bring in some help

As a small team donโ€™t fear asking a marketing agency for any help. It's why they exist. ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ™‚๏ธ

They can help you with your marketing or social strategies allowing you to implement them or they can take overwhelming tasks off of your hands to ease the workload.

See them as an extension of your team. You can always turn the tap up or down when you need to.

Itโ€™s all about collaboration.
